Made in Vietnam

Currently the third-largest in clothing exports, Vietnam is the choice of production for brands like Nike, Adidas, Puma, and Uniqlo. Recent trends are pointing to potentially more companies moving production to Vietnam.

Fast-moving trends in the fashion industry has led to many manufacturers squeezing as much as they can out of their workforce in order to try and keep up. As a result, the production industry in Vietnam has been plagued with issues impacting its workers. Wages that aren't sufficient enough to meet the cost of living, excessive overtime, poor treatment of workers, and the lack of independent unions (which are a result of labor laws) are just a select few.
